CRISTINE TAKUÁ
Cristine Takuá is a thinker, apprentice midwife, and Maxakali Indigenous educator. She holds a degree in Philosophy from UNESP and taught for twelve years at the Txeru Ba’e Kuai’ Indigenous State School. She is currently the coordinator of the Living Schools and a member of Selvagem, cycle of studies about life. Cristine Takuá represents the NEI (Indigenous Education Center) within the São Paulo State Department of Education and is a founding member of FAPISP (Forum for the Coordination of Indigenous Teachers of São Paulo State). She is also part of Instituto Maracá, which is involved in the shared management of the Museu das Culturas Indígenas in São Paulo. She lives in the Ribeirão Silveira Indigenous Land, located on the border between the municipalities of Bertioga and São Sebastião.
VERONICA PINHEIRO
Veronica Pinheiro is a researcher, artist, and educator. She coordinates the Laboratório de Aprendizagens Selvagem (LAS), where she develops and monitors teaching and learning processes in dialogue with Indigenous and Quilombola communities and schools, linking education, territory, ancestral knowledge, and intercultural learning. She holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Arts and Culture and is a doctoral student at PPGARTES/UERJ, where she conducts research on the cosmopoetics of Tikmũ’ũn chants. She is also an associate researcher at the Polyglot Lab at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, expanding research and collaboration networks centered on indigenous languages, ancestral knowledge, and intercultural learning practices.
