A DROPLET THAT OVERFLOWS
17 March 2026
Even before reaching the public, the Droplet 2 – Where life arises began to overflow. On the evening of March 11, educators who participated in 2025 in meetings and dialogues about the Droplet Selvagem with Veronica Pinheiro, coordinator of the Ways of Knowing Group, were invited to a special preview of the animated series newest episode, which brings together science, indigenous cosmologies, and forest knowledges.
The event was conceived as another step in a dialogue that has been carefully woven between the project and educators from different schools and regions. Continuing the series of actions and activities that began with Droplet 1 – Sun traverses all, the preview brought together teachers and educators for a moment of sharing, listening, and dialogue about impressions, ideas, and reflections based on Droplet 2.
The meeting began with a broader conversation about Selvagem, followed by the screening of the new episode. Alongside Veronica Pinheiro, Daniel Grimoni presented the new educational notebook which accompanied the episode, sharing some of the paths that led to the creation of the material. Daniel also showed the storyboard, the research and sketchbooks that served as the basis for the animation created by the artist Aza, who was responsible for adding another dimension of beauty to the stomata, molecules, and other chemical reactions.

This online preview was attended by teachers of biological sciences, agroecology, arts, music, and education—from both high school and higher education—as well as a daycare director. A diverse group that has been discussing how learning can be something that happens in relation to others, using the Droplets as their meeting point.
During the conversation, photographs of the activities carried out with children from the Professor Escragnolle Dória Municipal School with Veronica Pinheiro in the same day were also shown, when some of the Droplet 2 games came to life and were tested for the first time, gaining voice, body, and movement.

Among the new features in the notebook is a new section called “Could this story be told in a different way?”, which aims to retell the content in a way that makes it accessible to an ever-wider audience, especially those unfamiliar with scientific terminology.
This initiative aligns with the project’s next challenge: the first Droplet 2’s visit will be to the Jurema Municipal Daycare Center in Pavuna, Rio de Janeiro. The goal is to communicate in a way that resonates with as many people as possible.
The meeting lasted about an hour and was marked by thoughtful exchanges and beautiful testimonials from those who have already experienced Droplet 1 in their schools and are interested in continuing to use the material in their political-pedagogical projects. In the end, remained the shared desire to let the Droplet’s dripping. After all, when many drops come together, they can form a cloud and make their way to new rivers, schools, and territories.
If you wish to introduce the Droplet’s at your school or another educational setting and would like to learn more about the materials, please send an email to veronica@selvagemciclo.org.br.
It will be a pleasure to talk to you!
