On 9 December, 35 students from the Professor Escragnolle Dória Municipal School took part in an educational immersion programme on Paquetá Island, organised in partnership with the Motherwater study cycle. The children were welcomed on a journey of observation and reflection on water as the origin, force, and structuring element of life. The presence of biologist Laís Schimith, creator of the Maré de Ciências project and representative of Darcy de Mattos National Park, contributed to broadening the understanding of the local ecosystem, highlighting natural processes, fauna, flora, and the importance of environmental conservation. The programme also featured musical performances by Thiago Cafeh and Vandila Valentim, who enriched the experience, promoting moments of integration and collective listening, reinforcing the sensitive and expressive nature of the immersion. The activity was supported by SETRAM, the Galetinho da Ilha bar and restaurant, and the Fishermen's Colony, which were fundamental in providing hospitality, logistics, and strengthening the relationship between the school and the city's regions.
