The 'Intercultural Learning’ Extension Course for teachers and community educators is an online course for 700 teachers, with a certificate issued by the Federal University of the Pampa (UNIPAMPA) in partnership with Selvagem. Classes will be held throughout 2026, online and entirely free of charge, totalling 40 hours of activities.
The extension course has been running since 2018, and in 2026 it is being delivered in partnership with the Selvagem Ways of Knowing Lab (LAS), with coordinators and teachers from the Living Schools delivering lessons throughout the course. Veronica Pinheiro, coordinator of LAS, is also a member of the advisory team and has been teaching on the course since January 2025.
This initiative helps to ensure continuing professional development for teachers by promoting actions aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
