Childhood memories\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Of stories long lived<\/i><\/p>\n

Time, the marker of the hours\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Of the moments recorded<\/i><\/p>\n

Felt in memory\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Brings me sensations\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Of infinite joy\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Oh Earth!<\/i><\/p>\n

Mother of animal and plant beings\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Oh wind!<\/i><\/p>\n

Infinite sigh from the womb of the universe<\/i><\/p>\n

Oh water!<\/i><\/p>\n

That flows in the veins that run\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

the paths in the immensity of space<\/i><\/p>\n

Oh fire!<\/i><\/p>\n

Sacred master who consumes all things,\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

transforms and warms all things\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Hail to the directions that guide us\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

To the eyes that orient us<\/i><\/p>\n

And to the feet that hold us up<\/i><\/p>\n

On this walk towards the infinite.<\/i><\/p>\n

Every new day I'm more encouraged to invite humans to become wild, to feel the delicate beauty of being and staying in their territory in a good and beautiful way. To dawn listening to birdsong and to dusk by the fire, telling stories of the day that has passed. The simplicity that surrounds the lives of those who allow themselves to be part of nature is of a very enchanting magnitude.<\/p>\n

The fast-paced world of capitalism, which turns everything into merchandise, has distanced most humans from their essence and their joy. While many numb themselves with medicines to be able to sleep, in the Teko\u00e1, the Guarani, the Maxakali, the Ashaninka, the Huni Ku\u00ef and many other relatives sing to celebrate the night.<\/p>\n

Desde crian\u00e7a me encanto com o cantarolar das chuvas que caem, limpando a terra e acalmando os pensamentos. No tempo das chuvas, tudo se torna alegria: o ch\u00e1zinho de erva cidreira, o bolinho assado de milho, as brincadeiras sem fim\u2026.<\/p>\n

How great it is to be wild!<\/p>\n

But capitalist society insists on labelling us and imposing rules on our minds so that we forget that no money can pay for simplicity. That's why I keep on with my rebellious attitude of believing that making food on a wood stove, using my pipe to pray and preparing herbal remedies for the children is to believe in a happier future!<\/p>\n

It's been a long time since I learnt how to untie the knots in the stomach of children, and it's so magical! Medical schools don't teach this to their students, who seek to practise healing as a profession. It's wildly beautiful to cure a fright, suspicious roundworms1 and so many other ailments that affect little children!<\/p>\n

So I keep on dialoguing with the rain, learning to listen to the thunder and finding my way in this world of so many beauties.<\/p>\n
