On 27 November, fifth-year students from Escragnolle Dória Municipal School went on an educational field trip to Sítio Burle Marx, in an activity focused on artistic, sensory and environmental awareness. The children participated in a workshop on preparing natural paints from annatto, the processed seeds from the achiote tree, followed by an outdoor painting exercise, connecting creation and nature. The visit also included a guided tour by the site's educators to the gardens, where they could observe different plant and animal species, and to the art collection, expanding the group's repertoire of cultural references. The tour provided an immersion in the landscape, stimulating perceptions, connections and listening to the environment. The activity was especially significant because it carefully and warmly integrated children with autism, ensuring active participation and shared experiences. The meeting reinforced the importance of living learning practices that unite art, territory and inclusion.
